Engineering Building, Nuneaton
The practice have been appointed to design a new engineering building for North Warwickshire and Hinckley College at their Nuneaton Campus.

With funding from Warwickshire County Council, the scheme aims to provide a 'hi-tech' vocational environment for teaching 14-19 year old students. A workshop equipped with state of the art engineering equipment would be combined with CAD teaching rooms and a 'board room'. Completion in anticipated for the start of the next academic year, in September 2011.

Student Accommodation, University of Warwick
Robothams were appointed with partners, Faithful & Gould to design a scheme of over 500 student bedrooms on their Lakeside campus.

The new residences will need to achieve Breeam Excellent and sit within the University's campus masterplan, it will also need address the rural character of the site and the earlier phases of student accommodation. Completion is anticipated for Summer 2012.

Valuable Qualifications Awarded
Following a considerable amount of hard work by Ravi Sambhi and Sam Karr, this summer saw Coventry University award qualifications to both members of staff.

Ravi gained a degree in Architectural Design Technology at 2:1 level whilst Sam was awarded an HNC in Building. Their determination to undertake their studies part time has paid dividends, and the partners are very proud and optimistic that they along with all our staff will make a valuable contribution to the company's ongoing success.

Planning Application, Witney Campus
Following our appointment with Mace in May to design Abingdon & Witney College's redeveloped Witney campus, the practice submitted a planning application for the £7.5million scheme to rejuvenate the site.

Good news was also received by the College as the Skills Funding Agency confirmed an 'enhanced renewal grant' to support the scheme. To secure funding, part of the scheme, including the gateway building facing the town, will be completed for August 2011, and occupied by the next cohort of students.

Witney Campus Redevelopment
As part of a team led by project managers Mace, Robothams have been appointed to design Abingdon and Witney College's campus in Witney town centre.

The scheme will replace existing facilities partially demolished during an earlier phase of construction work, with new build and refurbished buildings providing a range of learning and training accommodation. The project is anticipated for completion early in 2012.

Coventry University London Campus
Work has now begun to transform East India House, part of the
Devonshire Square estate into the base for the University's postgraduate teaching in the capital.

Three floors of the building will be converted into the teaching rooms and social space for the anticipated cohort of 400 students set to begin studies in September. The accommodation also includes a lecture space capable of seating 120 people and a simulated city trading floor.

Science Facilities, Bromsgrove School
The comprehensive redevelopment of the School's science facilities has now been completed by Kier Moss.

Undertaken in seven phases the work has provided 'state of the art' teaching space and laboratories within elements of the existing building and in new build extensions. The practice is currently working on proposals for a new sports facility and boarding house accommodation for the well respected public school.

Methodist Homes for the Aged, Leamington Spa
In March Earlplace and GAJ Construction handed over MHA's purpose built home for 50 elderly residents at their new site on the Kenilworth Road in Leamington Spa.

Designed and constructed to a high specification the new accommodation sets a new standard for care provision in the district, with en-suite rooms and social space within the partially refurbished shell of the former Abbacourt Hotel, surrounded by landscaped grounds.

Warwick Hospital - Observation Unit
Warwick Hospital's latest addition - designed by Robothams.

The hospital has justed opened it's new Observation Unit. This refurbishment project combines comfort with state of the art medical practice, it was completed both on time and budget.

Coventry and Warwickshire FORCE Awards
FORCE Awards - the practice saw success in a number of categories at the Coventry and Warwickshire FORCE Awards ceremony.

Both City College Coventry and North Leamington School competed in the landmark, sustainability and design sections of the annual event, hosted in the practice's recently completed ACT UK building for Coventry University. In the end it was North Leamington School that triumphed with it's groundbreaking environmentally friendly, campus design approach.

Coventry University
Robothams have been appointed to design the University's new campus in London. The practice will provide lead consultant as well as interior design services for this exciting new base for MBA teaching in the capital. Teaching begins from the new centre in the autumn of 2010.
