Planning consent has been granted for a new technology and business development at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire. Robothams have acted as architect and agent for the planning application following a design competition held earlier in the year.
The scheme will create 51,000 sq.ft of mixed B1, B2 and B8 floor space with a focus on technology and aviation businesses to complement the airfield’s existing community of companies.
More information is available at the Technology Park’s website link here.
Construction work is progressing on A C Lloyd Homes’ residential scheme in Lapworth, on a site bordered by countryside and leafy canals. Robothams Architects have designed the scheme’s 38 new dwellings in a contemporary style drawing on the rural context and using local materials. The houses are generating a considerable amount of interest from purchasers with a sales suite opening in May.
The practice has been commissioned to prepare a master plan study for Southam College to identify opportunities for the performing arts curriculum at the school. An ‘Outstanding’ state maintained school for 11 – 18 year olds it has 1440 students including a sixth form of 240 students. This project builds on a growing portfolio of similar arts based schemes for schools both in the private and public sectors.
