Student Accommodation, University of Warwick

Robothams were appointed with partners, Faithful & Gould to design a scheme of over 500 student bedrooms on their Lakeside campus.

The new residences will need to achieve Breeam Excellent and sit within the University’s campus masterplan, it will also need address the rural character of the site and the earlier phases of student accommodation. Completion is anticipated for Summer 2012.

Coventry University

Robothams have been appointed to design the University’s new campus in London. The practice will provide lead consultant as well as interior design services for this exciting new base for MBA teaching in the capital. Teaching begins from the new centre in the autumn of 2010.

North Leamington School Completed

Today marks the first day of term for a generation of students who will benefit from the practice’s stunning design for North Leamington School.

Using a campus model the scheme creates a family of buildings that respond to the green belt location and the needs of students and staff. Underpinning our approach to the design was a commitment to environmental design and this been expressed in the Breeam Excellent rating achieved by the school.

Warwickshire College Residences

At the College’s Leamington campus, the first students are occupying the recently completed residences designed by Robothams.

The project has provided 100 study bedrooms in two blocks with a shared facilities building linking at ground floor level. The rendered and cedar clad exterior was given careful consideration to respond to Leamington’s regency architecture.

Science department upgrade begins on site.

Work is about to begin refurbishing and adding to Bromsgrove School’s science facilities, where Robothams have designed state of the art laboratories for chemistry, physics and biology.

The contract has been let to Kier Moss who are due to complete the project in
spring 2010.

Robothams to design new heart for Canley

We have been appointed to prepare a concept design and development brief for the Canley Community Hub, it will be the focus for City Council resources in the area as well as have a strong healthcare and education theme.

Local people are working with the practice to design the centre and create a sustainable vision for the building including a focus on environmental performance.

A new secondary school is now well underway on site with Miller Construction.

Commissioned in 2007 the practice is providing architectural and lead consultant services on this major education project, due for completion in 2009.

The part complete concrete frame is part of the package of measures designed to make the building as environmentally friendly as possible. ACT UK Begins on Site

A revolutionary new centre for the construction industry starts on site in September in Coventry.

The ACT UK building will house the country’s only virtual building site for the training of site based management. In addition it will provide support for the industry’s professional bodies and for research into the key issues effecting construction. The building itself has been designed to be a benchmark project engendering best practice in procurement, health and safety and environmental design. Diglis Water is commended in design awards.

The practice’s work in Worcester for Taylor Wimpey has been officially recognised by a national design body.

The British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA) have awarded the mixed residential scheme commendations in both Design and Construction, and Strategy and Master planning sections of their annual awards. The third phase of the scheme that provides over 400 units, bars, restaurants and shops is due for completion shortly.

Building 500, Abbey Park nears completion.

Robothams have been working closely with contractors, Weaver PLC, on this impressive design & build development for Pettifer Estates.

Abbey Park

Due for completion in Mar 08, the project is the 2nd major office building on the former Massey Fergusson site at Stoneleigh. The design uses brick and glass to create a modern and stylist office development with generous natural light and space. The accommodation is split over two storeys and the footprint responds to the context by mirroring existing buildings.
